Fire danger is high in the Amador Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas. In developed recreation sites, campfires are allowed only in existing fire rings or grills and must be actively serviced by a camp host. Propane stoves and grills are permitted with a valid campfire permit and a shut-off valve. Always check current conditions and specific site regulations before your visit.
