Backcountry campfiresProhibited

Campfires prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas within one mile of specified communities.

Conditions

  • Applies within one mile perimeter of Upper Kyle and Lee Canyons, Cold Creek, Mount Springs, Trout Canyon, Lovell Canyon, and Coal Springs communities

Exceptions

  • Persons with permit specifically authorizing the act
  • Federal, State, or Local Officers or organized rescue/firefighting forces in official duty
Campground campfiresRestricted

Campfires allowed only in approved fire pits or grills in developed recreation sites.

Conditions

  • Must use approved fire pits or grills provided in Developed Recreation Sites
Propane fuel and camp stovesAllowed

Portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are exempt.
