Fire danger is very high in the Upper Lake Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited when dispersed camping, but allowed in designated recreation sites with a permit. Portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are also allowed with a permit. Check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.
