Fire danger is very high in the Western Divide Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited below 5,000 feet except in designated areas. Propane stoves and gas lanterns are allowed with a valid California Campfire Permit in cleared areas. Always check current conditions and specific regulations for your exact location before your trip. Fireworks and explosives are always prohibited.
