Fire danger is high around Bass Lake Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in the backcountry but allowed in designated campgrounds and picnic areas. Portable stoves with a shut-off valve are permitted, and California Campfire Permit holders can use contained gas or liquid fuel stoves. Welding and acetylene torches with open flames are prohibited. Always check current conditions and specific regulations before your trip.
