Fire danger is moderate in the Groveland Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas, but allowed in developed recreation sites. Portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel require a California Campfire Permit. Target shooting and firearm discharge are prohibited except for lawful hunting with a valid license during open season. Always check current conditions and specific area restrictions before your trip.
