Fire danger is high in the Sierraville Ranger District. Backcountry campfires are prohibited except within 300 feet of the PCT or Tahoe Rim Trail, or in designated dispersed campsites. Campfires are allowed in designated campgrounds and dispersed sites. Camping is prohibited in Restricted Use Areas like Austin Meadow, Jackson Meadow, and Little Truckee, except in designated sites and trail corridors. Always check current conditions and specific area regulations before your trip.
