Fire danger is moderate in the Yuba River Ranger District. Campfires are allowed in designated campgrounds and recreation sites with fire rings or charcoal grills. Backcountry campfires are prohibited unless you have a valid California Campfire Permit and are using a portable gas or kerosene stove in a cleared area. Propane and pressurized fuel stoves are permitted with a shutoff valve in cleared areas. Always check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.

- Must burn gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel
- Must have shutoff valve
- Must be at least 3 feet from flammable materials

- Federal, State, or local officers in official duty
- Persons with valid California Campfire Permit (with conditions)
- Forest Products Removal (fuelwood) operations
