Fire danger is high in the Yuba River Ranger District. Backcountry campfires are prohibited forest-wide under Stage 2 restrictions. Campfires are allowed in designated campgrounds with grills or fire rings, and propane stoves are permitted for those with permits. Check current conditions for any specific campground or facility before your trip.

- Persons with valid California Campfire Permit may use portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern in area at least 3 feet from flammable materials, burning only gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel with shut-off valve

Campfires allowed in designated campgrounds with charcoal grills or fire rings.

- Only in charcoal grills or fire rings provided within recreation sites maintained by campground host

Propane and fuel stoves allowed with restrictions for permit holders.

- Persons hunting during open-hunting seasons with valid California hunting license may discharge firearm at legal game bird or mammal
