Rio Grande National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions

Fire danger is very high across the Rio Grande National Forest. Campfires are prohibited in all backcountry, wilderness, developed campgrounds, and designated recreation sites. Propane and gas stoves are allowed if used in a cleared area and can be turned off. Always check the specific ranger district and latest weather forecast before your trip.
