Deschutes National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
The Deschutes National Forest has a high fire danger rating with campfires prohibited in both developed campgrounds and backcountry areas. Active fires include the Bench fire at 4,000 acres and the 0658 ROUND BUTTE fire at 1,163 acres, both showing signs of containment. Propane stoves are allowed with an on/off switch and a 3-foot clearance, but fireworks and explosives are prohibited forest-wide.
