Fire danger is extreme in the Wild Rivers Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited except for commercial pressurized liquid or gas stoves in cleared areas. Fires along the Illinois River Road are restricted to designated Forest Service fire rings only. Check current conditions and specific regulations for your exact location before your trip.
