Fire danger is high in the Wild Rivers Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in the backcountry except for pressurized liquid fuel or propane stoves in cleared areas; fires are only permitted in designated rings along Illinois River Road. Campground campfires are allowed only in designated rings with pressurized liquid fuel or propane. Parking is prohibited within a quarter mile on both sides of Illinois River Road (FS Road #4103). Check current conditions before your trip as rules can change.
