Fire danger is high in the Cottage Grove Ranger District. Backcountry campfires are prohibited in wilderness areas, but allowed elsewhere under Stage 2 conditions. Campfires are permitted in Forest Service-constructed fire rings at designated developed recreation sites. Propane and pressurized fuel stoves are allowed with an on/off switch and three-foot clearance. Always check the latest weather and specific site regulations before your trip.
