Black Hills National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is extreme in the Hell Canyon and Mystic Ranger Districts and very high in the Bearlodge and Northern Hills Ranger Districts of the Black Hills National Forest. Backcountry campfires are prohibited across all districts, and campfires in developed campgrounds may be restricted to designated fire rings or fireplaces. Always check current restrictions for your specific location and confirm campfire rules before your trip.
