Black Hills National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions

The Lookout fire is active at 444 acres and growing, with 0% containment. Fire danger is extreme in Hell Canyon and Mystic districts, and very high in Bearlodge and Northern Hills districts. Campfires are prohibited in all backcountry and campground areas across the forest; only gas or liquid fuel stoves with a 3-foot clearance are allowed.
