Fire danger is extreme in the Goosenest Ranger District. Backcountry campfires are prohibited, but campfires may be allowed in designated campgrounds and day-use areas. Always check specific campground rules before you go. Pressurized liquid or gas stoves are allowed outside recreation sites with a California Campfire Permit and a 5-foot cleared area. Fireworks, explosives, welding, and open flame torches are prohibited.
