Fire danger is extreme in the Scott River Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and wilderness areas, but allowed in designated campgrounds and picnic areas. Pressurized liquid or gas stoves are permitted outside recreation sites with a California Campfire Permit and a 5-foot cleared area. Always check the latest weather and specific regulations for your exact location before your trip. Fireworks and explosives remain prohibited.
