Fire danger is low on the Mt. Pinos Ranger District. Campfires are allowed in designated campground sites, but backcountry campfires are prohibited except at designated use sites. Propane and liquid fuel stoves are permitted with a valid California Campfire Permit. Check current conditions and specific campground regulations before your trip, as firearm discharge may be restricted outside of authorized ranges and hunting.

Campfires allowed at designated campfire use sites including Aliso Park, Ballinger, Caballo, Campo Alto, Chuchupate, Chula Vista, Dutchman, Halfmoon, Kings Camp, Marian, McGill, Mt. Pinos, Pine Springs, Reyes Creek, Toad Springs, and Valle Vista.
