Modoc National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is very high across the Modoc National Forest. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas, but allowed in designated recreation sites. Portable stoves require a California Campfire Permit. Welding and torches with open flames are prohibited. Always check current conditions and specific ranger district regulations before your trip.
