Modoc National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Modoc National Forest, with extreme fire danger. Backcountry campfires are prohibited except in the South Warner Wilderness and designated recreation sites. Campfires are allowed in designated recreation sites, but check specific location rules before you go. Propane and pressurized liquid fuel stoves are permitted with a valid California campfire permit, but welding and torch use with open flame is prohibited.
