Fire danger is very high in the Doublehead Ranger District. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas, but allowed in the South Warner Wilderness and designated recreation sites. Portable stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid are allowed with a valid California Campfire Permit. Welding and torches with open flame are prohibited. Always check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.
