Fire danger is high in the Beckwourth Ranger District. Backcountry campfires are prohibited, but campfires are allowed in designated recreation sites. Propane and fuel stoves are permitted with a California Campfire Permit and proper clearance. Check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.

- Federal, State, local officers and organized rescue/firefighting forces in official duty
- Recreation residence permit holders and resort/educational center staff at their facilities
