Fire danger is high in the Yolla Bolla Ranger District. Campfires are allowed in developed recreation sites, but backcountry campfires are prohibited unless at designated fire safe sites or in wilderness areas with a valid California Campfire Permit. Portable stoves with pressurized liquid fuel are allowed with a permit. Always check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.

- Valid California Campfire Permit required
- Only at designated Fire Safe Sites (YB-1 through YB-4) or within Yolla Bolla-Middle Eel Wilderness and Chanchelulla Wilderness
- Portable ring/pit/stove only: gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel with shut-off valve
- At least 5 feet from flammable materials

- Within Yolla Bolla-Middle Eel Wilderness and Chanchelulla Wilderness with valid California Campfire Permit
