Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is high across the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. Backcountry campfires are prohibited, but campfires are allowed in developed campgrounds and picnic areas with permanent fire pits. Propane and gas stoves are permitted with a three-foot cleared area, and welding or grinding requires a ten-foot cleared area and a fire extinguisher. Always check specific ranger district regulations and current weather conditions before your trip.
