Fire danger is high in the Pikes Peak Ranger District. Stage 2 restrictions are in effect, prohibiting backcountry and campground campfires, as well as welding and acetylene torches. Recreational target shooting is also prohibited in designated shooting areas. Check current conditions for any specific closures, such as in the Waldo Canyon Burn Area, and confirm propane or gas stove regulations before your trip.
