Pike and San Isabel National Forests Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is high to very high across the Pike and San Isabel National Forests. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and campgrounds under Stage 2 restrictions, though propane and gas stoves are allowed with conditions. Check specific ranger district closures, like the Willow Fire area in Leadville or the Waldo Canyon Burn Area, and confirm current conditions before your visit. Recreational target shooting is also prohibited in designated areas.
