Fire danger is very high in the San Carlos Ranger District. Stage 2 restrictions are in effect, prohibiting backcountry and campground campfires, as well as welding and grinding with open flames. Check for specific closure areas, like the Aspen Acres Fire closure, before your trip. Propane and gas stoves are allowed if used in a cleared area. Always confirm the latest conditions and restrictions with the ranger district before you go.
