Payette National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is very high across the Payette National Forest. Backcountry campfires are prohibited, but campfires are allowed in developed sites with permanent fire pits. Propane and liquid fuel stoves are permitted with proper clearance. Check current conditions for any specific area closures, such as the Tartar Fire area, before your trip.
