Fire danger is very high in the Minidoka Ranger District. Campfires are allowed in developed campgrounds and picnic areas with permanent fire pits. Backcountry campfires are prohibited except in designated areas using liquid petroleum fuel devices in cleared spots. Propane and liquid petroleum stoves are permitted. Always check current conditions and specific site regulations before your trip.

Conditions
- Device must be solely fueled by liquid petroleum fuel with on/off capability
- Area must be barren or cleared of all flammable materials within 3 feet of device
Exceptions
- Holders of Forest Service Special Use Authorizations with fires in fire structures within permitted area
Campground campfiresAllowed
Campfires allowed in developed campgrounds and picnic areas with permanent metal or concrete fire pits.
Conditions
- Must use permanent metal or concrete fire pit or grate installed and maintained by Forest Service
- Limited to developed recreation sites listed in Exhibit B
Propane fuel and camp stovesAllowed
Propane and liquid petroleum fuel stoves allowed with conditions.
Conditions
- Stove must be solely fueled by liquid petroleum fuels
- In backcountry: must be in area barren or cleared of all flammable materials within 3 feet
- In designated areas: use permitted per Exhibit B
Exceptions
- Persons using a stove or grill solely fueled by liquid petroleum fuels
- Persons using a stove fire in a designated area listed in Exhibit B
