Custer Gallatin National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for parts of the Custer Gallatin National Forest through September 11th. The Robinson Springs fire is active at 53 acres and growing, while the Pine Coulee fire is 41 acres and 50% contained. Fire danger is high to very high across the forest, and backcountry campfires are prohibited in many areas, including all of the Sioux Ranger District and near Lava Lake in the Bozeman Ranger District. Always check specific district restrictions and the latest weather before your trip.
