Campfires prohibited outside designated areas with permanent fire structures.
Exceptions
- Stove fires in designated areas with fully enclosed metal stove, grill, or sheep herder stove with 5+ ft chimney and ¼ inch mesh spark arrestor
Propane fuel and camp stovesRestricted
Propane and LPG devices allowed if can be turned on/off in cleared area.
Conditions
- Device must be solely fueled by liquid petroleum or LPG
- Must be able to be turned on and off
- Must be used in area barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within 3 feet
Campground campfiresAllowed
Campfires allowed in designated campgrounds with permanent fire structures.
Conditions
- Only in fire structures provided by Forest Service in designated areas
