Malheur National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
Fire danger is extreme across the Malheur National Forest. Campfires are prohibited in backcountry and dispersed areas, but may be allowed in designated campgrounds with fire rings. Check with your specific ranger district for the most current campfire rules, as they can vary. Propane stoves with an on/off switch and a three-foot clearance are generally permitted.
