Exceptions

  • Gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel/propane stoves with on/off switch and 3-foot clearance of flammable vegetation
Propane fuel and camp stovesRestricted

Propane and pressurized fuel stoves allowed with on/off switch and 3-foot vegetation clearance.

  • Must have on/off switch
  • Flammable vegetation cleared minimum 3 feet away on all sides
Campground campfiresAllowed

Campfires allowed in designated developed campgrounds within Forest Service-constructed fire rings.

  • Must be in Forest Service-constructed fire rings in designated recreation sites

Exceptions

  • Parking in vegetation-free area within 10 feet of roadway
  • Minimum travel over bare mineral soil to access dispersed camping
