Ochoco National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions
Active fires in the Ochoco National Forest include the Shingle Fire (73,183 acres, 95% contained), Coyote Fire (17,460 acres, 96% contained), and Henry Fire (29,844 acres, 97% contained). Fire danger is high across the forest, with campfires prohibited in developed campgrounds and backcountry areas; only propane or liquid fuel stoves with a three-foot clearance are allowed. Some areas, like the Maury Mountains west of FSR 17 and the Shingle Fire closure area, are restricted due to fire hazards.
