The 0500 COYOTE fire is 17,460 acres and 96% contained, but is still growing. Campfires are prohibited in developed campgrounds and the backcountry, though propane stoves are allowed with clearance. The Maury Mountains area west of FSR 17 is closed due to fire hazards, including campgrounds within the closure. Fire danger is high, so check current conditions and specific area closures before your trip.
