The Paulina Ranger District has a high fire danger rating. Campfires are prohibited in developed campgrounds and backcountry areas; only propane or liquid fuel stoves with an on/off switch are allowed with a 3-foot clearance. Fireworks and open flame torches are prohibited. The 0587 SHINGLE fire is 73,183 acres and 95% contained, the 0497 HENRY fire is 29,844 acres and 97% contained, and the 0500 COYOTE fire is 17,460 acres and 96% contained. A closure area for the 0587 SHINGLE fire is in effect and closed to public access. Check current conditions and specific area restrictions before your visit.
