Fire danger is high in the La Grande Ranger District. The McCully fire is 13,545 acres and 59% contained, the Anthony fire is 2,584 acres and 96% contained, and the Horse Ridge fire is 860 acres and 98% contained. Campfires are allowed in designated rings at developed sites, but backcountry campfires are prohibited except within the Eagle Cap Wilderness or with liquid/propane fuel and a 3-foot clearance. Explosives and pyrotechnic devices are prohibited. Check current conditions and specific area closures before your trip.
