Wallowa-Whitman National Forest Fire Danger & Restrictions

Active fires include the McCully fire at 13,545 acres and 59% contained, the Anthony fire at 2,584 acres and 96% contained, and the Olive Butte fire at 3,092 acres and 95% contained. Fire danger is high in some areas and extreme in others, with significant forest closures in effect due to these fires. Campfires are allowed in designated rings at developed sites, but backcountry campfires are restricted unless using approved stoves with clearance. Always check specific district restrictions and the latest weather before your trip.
